WHO WE ARE
CRU-RISE (Clinical Research Unit — RISE) is an academic structure established by the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP), its associated member, and integrated within the recently created RISE-Health Research & Innovation Unit. This unit, now FMUP’s dedicated R&D structure, focuses on fostering excellence in health sciences and clinical research.
WHAT WE DO
CRU-RISE offers expertise and support for designing, implementing, and managing clinical research studies.
START-UP AND ACTIVATION
Assistance in preparing proposals to secure funding for clinical research.
Guidance on contract agreements and financial oversight for studies.
Support in the design and development of clinical study protocols.
Coordination of submissions to regulatory authorities and ethics committees
CONDUCT AND MONITORING
Organization and oversight of clinical trial processes.
Operational support for clinical study management.
Design and management of electronic Case Report Forms.
Data-entry services and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of collected data.
Monitoring and reporting adverse events related to clinical trials.
CLOSEOUT
Assistance in managing intellectual property rights.
Providing translation for clinical documents and data.
Statistical planning, analysis, and reporting for clinical studies.
