Epi-Asthma‘s article was awarded the Best Scientific Article 2025 at the MGFamiliar ceremony of the Prémios Médicos de Família de Ouro, held on January 9, 2026. This distinction recognises the scientific excellence and relevance of the article “Prevalence of asthma in Portuguese adults – the EPI-ASTHMA study: a nationwide population-based survey” by Dinis Brito et al.
The awarded study stands out for its robust methodological approach and its significant contribution to the understanding of asthma epidemiology in Portugal. By providing updated, population-based data on asthma prevalence in Portuguese adults, Epi-Asthma delivers evidence that is highly relevant for clinical practice, public health planning, and health policy decision-making.
