Registo de Asma Grave (“Severe Asthma Registry”)
The Severe Asthma Specialist Network (REAG – Rede de Especialistas em Asma Grave) developed the Severe Asthma Registry (RAG – Registo de Asma Grave) in Portugal, whose objectives are:
- To improve healthcare delivery for severe asthma by identifying and promoting best clinical practices for the diagnosis and treatment of severe asthma;
- To facilitate collaborative projects by fostering cooperation between centers, supporting the implementation of research projects, and enabling participation in international networks or projects;
- To contribute to the definition and adoption of health policies that help Portuguese people with severe asthma.
The Registry includes adults and children with asthma who, after treatment optimization and appropriate management of comorbidities, are on stage 4 or 5 treatment according to the GINA guidelines.
The data contained in RAG are non-identifiable (pseudo-anonymized), and the physician acts as the patient’s representative in managing this data, which primarily belongs to the patient. The patient (or their guardian/relative) has been informed and signed informed consent and may withdraw this consent at any time, as well as review or delete this data.
